Which way is Up again?
Tonight I had the pleasure of trying something new, Yoga Wall at Blissful Yoga Studio. I had never heard of such a thing before exploring the class list at the studio. But how can anyone not be intrigued by this?

Suddenly, the wall becomes the floor and the floor becomes the wall! Whoa, mind-blowing. Now gravity is working in a completely different way, changing which muscles are engaged in each pose.
In this picture, I’ve drawn the basic chair pose. The purple is the mat and coral is the wall:
In this picture, the purple is the wall. The strap allows you to defy gravity!
I love that!
Of course, under these new rules of gravity, you can do things that you can’t do on the floor without great skill- like being inverted and hanging upside-down.
Yoga Wall is really cool. I can’t wait to try it again. It feels like it is very good for the spine, and I sweat enough to know it was also a great work out. If you ever get a chance to try this, I highly recommend it!

looks so cool!!
I have been wanting to try this kind of yoga. I do not do yoga yet but this looks like so much fun. Do you know what the weight limit is on these?
Not sure- but I did find this:
You’d probably want to call the studio and ask them to be sure!
Buddha Body Yoga
So it looks like it could hold some robust people
How does this work? It seems so unsafe. :/
It is very stable, actually. Here’s a link to the manufacturer. http://www.yogawall.com/
